OSCK Fall 2008 Video Contest Details

Operation Save Clark Kent was created by an impassioned group of Smallville fans concerned about the show’s ethical stance in portraying Clark Kent. This group, The Red Jacket Defenders, believes that the character portrayed on SMALLVILLE currently bears little resemblance to the character defined for over 70 years in American popular culture. They believe that SMALLVILLE’s Clark Kent can be written to restore faith in the character and give hope, a staple of the SUPERMAN character, to future generations of SUPERMAN fans.

After an up and down 7^th season the show is being revamped by the new producers and in the process so is OSCK and we need some new official videos to support these changes! The theme for OSCK in Season 8 is A Hero Embraces His Destiny. This is the theme of our fall video contest as well!

Show off your video making skills and submit a Smallville fan video with the theme of A Hero Embraces His Destiny. Include a title page that states “OSCK - A Hero Embraces His Destiny” with your video- as the winner will be used as a key promotional item for our website.

Winner will be featured on the OSCK blog and our official webpage!

Requirements:

1) All videos must be the sole original effort of the video maker or the team of video makers if more than one person is working together on an entry. Video must be made exclusively and new for this contest!
2) All videos must be submitted as either wmv , MPEG-4 or avi files ( avi DIVX is fine, as is XVID).
3) Video should be no larger than 100 MB in size.
4) Video can contain any type of music and any Superman or Clark Kent themed footage you see fit to use.

Please include the following information with your video:

1) Your name, e-mail address and age and your Operation Save Clark Kent forum user name if applicable**
2) The Title of your video,
3) A short description of what your focus is and what you were trying to say with your entry
4) Please list the music and video source material used in your submission ( episode #, movie etc)
5) Please list the video making program you used to make your video
6) Please list any user account info or other website that you own that you want included with your video- ie YouTube/MySpace/Veoh/Dailymotion user name or your own video / fan site

Please load your video to one of these sites  Megaupload, RapidShare, SendSpace, or Filefront, and include the link with your submission. Once your entry has been received it will be posted to a special video channel for the contest.

Operation Save Clark Kent members will vote on their favorites along with a panel of judges.

Winners will be announced on the OSCK blog and forums.

Submissions will be accepted from 09/08/08- 10/15/08

THE FINE PRINT:

*You cannot vote on your own video. Videos can be submitted by members of Operation Save Clark Kent and their family but not by the panel of judges or their families.
**You are not required to be a member to enter but you are required to be a member to vote on other videos in the contest
*^You can post your video elsewhere- you cannot claim winner status unless officially sanctioned by OSCK.
